Saint Joseph School participates in the Safe2Say Something (S2SS) youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.
From the Safe2Say Something website: "The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late. With Safe2Say Something, it’s easy and confidential to report safety concerns to help prevent violence and tragedies."
Safe2Say Something focuses on life safety as well as unwanted/dangerous behaviors. Students, parents, and community members may submit anonymous tips to a tip line monitored 24/7 by the PA Office of the Attorney General. From there, tips are forwarded to the school (as well as to the county 911 center if information received suggests there is a life safety issue).
There are three ways to submit anonymous tips:
1) using a free mobile app
2) calling 1-844-SAF2SAY (1-844-723-2729)
3) visiting the Safe2Say Something website
