Saint Joseph School has a mobile computer lab with 30 computers that accommodates an entire class. Every computer in the lab is new for the 2018-2019 school year. The lab has internet access, a network drive, and a SMART Board. In addition to the computer lab, we have two mobile iPad carts and an iPad center of five units in each classroom. There are also computers available for student use in the classrooms, library, and science lab. All classrooms have a SMART Board and a projector that provide students with interactive activities. Our school has a local area network that can be accessed anywhere in the building.
We provide an annual technology in-service to provide continuing education to our teachers. The technology curriculum for students is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Technology Standards. In computer classes, Grades K-8 receive weekly lessons in computer applications/web-based activities, 21st-Century skills and/or keyboarding. The computer teachers reinforces content that is presented in classroom curriculum.
